Why celebrate African Australians?
As a result of this journey and the many wonderful achievements, it was imperative that we join hands as a community. To acknowledge outstanding members making great contributions to Queensland and to the services of people and organisations and the full support, participation of our members across these wonderful state. We have been able to achieve this through an awards ceremony held at state level annually and a national event every three years.
AfriQueenland Awards 2024
The AfriQueensland Awards 2024 will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2024, at Gracehouse in Slacks Creek at 6:00 pm. This event will be a joyous celebration, spotlighting remarkable achievements and contributions to community engagement and development within the African and larger multi multicultural community. Attendees can anticipate an evening dedicated to honoring individuals and organizations who have made noteworthy strides in fostering unity and actively contributing to the betterment of the community. The AfriQueensland Awards will serve as a platform to recognize and appreciate the significant impact these individuals have had on the cohesion and well-being of the African community. The event will feature a lively atmosphere filled with music, dance, and the rich flavors of African cuisine.
